KickAss Anderson Style Plugs: Versatile, Durable, and Easy to Use
KickAss Anderson Style Plugs are the perfect solution for connecting your portable camping fridge or solar panel to your KickAss battery. These genderless plugs can be used as either a plug or a socket, providing unmatched versatility.
Key Features:
- Fully Insulated: These plugs are fully insulated to ensure safety and reliability.
- High Current Rating: Rated to handle up to 50 amps.
- Durable Construction: Made from strong polycarbonate for long-lasting performance.
- Single-Piece Housing: Provides a cost-effective, durable, and safe connection.
Compatibility:
- Anderson-compatible plugs are inter-connectable with both black and grey Anderson plugs only.
Installation Instructions:
- Preparation: Use a stripping tool or a Stanley knife to carefully strip back the cable sheathing if it's a twin-core cable.
- Strip the Wires: Carefully strip back 1 cm of insulation from each single-core cable (positive and negative) using a stripping tool.
- Attach Terminal Lugs: Attach the Anderson connector terminal lugs to the stripped cable ends. Use a crimping tool to securely crimp the terminal lugs onto the cable.
- Verify Crimping: Ensure the terminal lugs are crimped correctly by making sure they are fixed in place and cannot be pulled off.
- Connect to Anderson Plug: With the terminal lug lip facing up, attach the Anderson plug. Ensure the positive and negative cables are inserted into their designated sides (pos + and neg -).
- Secure Cables: Push the cables through until the terminal lug lip latches over the spring clip at the end of the plug and clips in place. Verify both cables are securely fixed by pulling each one individually.
NOTE: To remove the cables from the Anderson plug once installed, use a small flathead screwdriver to push the spring clip down while pulling the individual cable out the back of the plug.
